The BioVisionCenter @Universität Zürich is the first fully computational academic center dedicated to bioimage analysis R&D in Switzerland, providing biologists with state-of-the-art machine vision methods to analyze their bioimage datasets and support imaging scientists in turning their novel algorithms into broadly usable tools.

eXact lab develops, since 2021, the Fractal Analytics Platform (https://fractal-analytics-platform.github.io/) , a framework to process bioimaging data at scale in the OME-Zarr format and prepare the images for interactive visualization. The development encompasses several aspects and technologies, from data management, to UI design to HPC cluster interface.
